Introduction
- This page is for organising information about the CCG Java Group. This group was started in January 2008 and is about all aspects of Java programming in the CCG. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Andy Turner. Although this group started in 2008, the CCG has been developing using Java for many years. Most of the developments are open source and some have spawned libraries that are openly and collaboratively developed by experts worldwide to this day (most notably GeoTools).

Experience
- We have come from different backgrounds and some of us program in other languages also. I propose that in this section we elaborate on our experience with Java and 3rd party libraries and other things relevant from other domains:
- Groovy anyone?
- Python anyone?
- C, C++ anyone?
- Fortran
- .NET anyone?
Events
- Should probably think about a group launch in addition to initialising this Web Page!
